Horween Leather Belts

Horween leather has a reputation that few tanneries in the world can match.

Founded in Chicago in 1905, the Horween Leather Company has spent more than a century producing some of the most respected leather used by bootmakers, shoemakers, and leather craftsmen. The tannery remains family-owned and continues to operate from its original Chicago facility.

Most of the Horween leather I carry is Chromexcel, one of the tannery’s most well-known leathers. Chromexcel goes through a long tanning process and is then hot-stuffed with natural oils and waxes. This gives the leather its rich feel, durability, and the well-known pull-up effect that creates lighter tones when the leather bends.

I also occasionally stock Horween Russet horsehide, a dense and durable leather prized by enthusiasts for its strength and the deep patina it develops with wear.

Every Noble Buffalo belt is cut by hand from full-grain leather and finished with solid hardware, creating a belt built to last for years of daily wear.
