This belt is cut directly from horsehide tanned at the storied Horween Tannery in Chicago, IL, and left un-finished in an undyed Russet natural tone. The edges are beveled and polished smooth with beeswax, giving it a subtle, durable shine. Because horsehide typically comes in shorter lengths, if you don’t see your size in the dropdown menu, shoot me an email to check availability. It's a stunning belt. It has a phenomenal amount of natural texture. The beige has toned down to a light brown after a coat of leather balm and several days in the sun. The horsehide is noticeably more supple than the classic English bridle belt that I also purchased, though it's still a substantial piece of leather that seems like it will last for quite a while.
