About The "Missouri Belt":
The Missouri Belt is built to last, made from the thickest full-grain USA steerhide. The leather is tanned in St. Louis, then each strap is cut, beveled, burnished, polished with beeswax, and fully assembled by me (Noble Buffalo - also in St. Louis). Made from extra-thick 12-14oz leather (5mm to 5.5mm), this is the heaviest hide I’ve worked with. Built to last for decades, the Missouri Belt combines toughness with lasting quality.
Hermann Oak - A Storied American Tannery:
The raw cowhide undergoes meticulous tanning on the Saint Louis Mississippi riverfront by Hermann Oak, one of the oldest tanneries in the United States, with a legacy dating back to the 1800s. Originally established to supply harness leather to wagon trains following the Lewis and Clark trails, Hermann Oak remains a family-owned institution, consistently producing the strongest leather.

This is one tough yet beautiful belt. I wore it with dress slack and dress jeans on a business trip for one full week before taking this picture of it on with an old pair of work pants. I love everything about it. I ordered the Thick Hermann Oak which is exactly what a big guy like me needs. Additionally, if anyone follows the instructions for Method #1 sizing, their belt will come delivered to the perfect size. I really appreciated those instructions. The belt fit perfectly, and Matte Black w/ Roller Bar is exactly what I need. I will be coming back for more and definitely recommending to others.

I used to purchase good, thick, quality belts when I was a kid and haven’t found them in a long time. This exactly what I used to get, but substantially better made. It will work for weekend activities as the leather is exceptional quality and be usable for work! Not cheap but it is worth every penny! Beautiful.

My order for this 1.5" Black Leather Belt was filled and shipped just as explained in the web site. I did the measurement just as was told and the belt fit perfect. I have 2 holes on either side of the buckle. I do recommend getting the square buckle with the roller as it keeps the belt flat and looking new. Great quality - might be the last black belt that I'll have to purchase! I would defiantly recommend Ben and Noble Buffalo for his fine work and integrity. I lover American products.
